Eau Claire Wisconsin: Cory Klicko Says He Has Withdrawn His Affiliation with Fascist NSM
Local media reported that a fascist National Socialist Movement (NSM) demo in Eau Claire, Wisconsin (USA) was cancelled today. The news comes after Cory Klicko was outed as the state leader of Wisconsin for the NSM earlier this week.
Twin Cities reported today that a march of the neo-nazi organization has been cancelled. The fascist NSM march was scheduled for September 16, but Klicko told Twin Cities the event listed on the website of Detroit-based NSM is no longer taking place, in part because of controversy surrounding it and what he said were threats against him and people close to him.
Klicko also said he has withdrawn his affiliation with the fascist NSM: “After careful consideration and communications with positive people, I’ve decided to break away from anything that may be perceived as negative to myself, my family or the community,” Klicko told the Leader-Telegram in an email message. “Racism and hate have no place in communities and we all need to move forward to better provide for our future.”
Remarkable words for somebody who was a state leader of the NSM. We will keep an eye on the case but for the moment we are happy that the fascist march on September 16 had to be cancelled and if Klicko really retreated from the NSM that could be another blow for the fascist movement in the US.
