Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement is Coming to West Coast

Announcing Inland Empire Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement (Warning: Facebook link).

We are proud to announce the formation of a new chapter in California: Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement – Inland Empire.
In tandem with the larger RAM project we are committed to combatting the system of mass incarceration, ICE detentions, and the white supremacist political system.

The Inland Empire branch will be working with currently existing local radical organizations that currently stand against 21st century slavery, borders, racism, patriarchy, discrimination against LGBTQ people, the police state and other forms of oppression.

With the rise of reactionary forces in the region, as observed in San Bernardino at the June 10th, 2017, “Anti-Sharia March,” and the increase of police militarization, the Inland Empire branch is pledging to fight side by side with those facing reactionary and state violence. After decades of false promises, and abject failure from the local governments in the area, RAM I.E. will create an alternative political pole that will empower people to take matters into their own hands and constitute a truly liberatory future.

About the Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement

The Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement is a political movement dedicated to freeing people from bondage and building resistance in the United States. We situate our political movement in the context of the abolitionist struggle against slavery and continue in the tradition, from Nat Turner to the Black Liberation Movement. We believe the Civil War never resolved the foundational problems in this country and the system of slavery transitioned into the prison industrial complex. Our struggle today must begin from this starting point. Lastly, as revolutionary anarchists, the abolitionist struggle must be extended to the state and capitalism, the perpetrators of oppression. The revolutionary movement in the US today is at a cross roads, as fascist movements are expanding, and the state becomes increasingly authoritarian. The Rojava Revolution, in northern Syria, provides us with a model for revolution today with its foundation in communal and council based political organization and militant defense.
