Speaker and co-founder of the fascist Pegida movement, Siegfried Däbritz, spoke about the rescue ship Lifeline during a speech on a demonstration in Dresden. Däbritz said: “Surely you all have heard what’s happening with our lovely smuggler organisation from Dresden, did you? This happened on June 25. At that moment the Lifeline rescue ship was waiting for days for permission to get into a harbour. The Lifeline had 234 rescued refugees on board. After several days the Lifeline rescue ship was allowed to dock at Malta. After that the captain was prosecuted and the Lifeline ship confiscated.
After participants of the fascist Pegida demo started to chant “drown! drown!”, Däbritz started to smile and said: “No not drowning, we need that ship to bring them all back.”
