Trebur Forest: The destructive expansion of industrial capitalism has many faces. Whether in the context of the expropriation of land in Notres-Dames-des-Landes, attack on indigenous sovereignty on Turtle Island, or destruction of nature in Rheinland, it is clear that our resistance against this system of exploitation and destruction, is one of solidarity!

All struggles for climate justice are closely linked, but especially close to our hearts is the Trebur forest occupation!
Near the west-German city of Frankfurt, a major expansion of the Frankfurt airport is planned. This expansion will not only destroy a piece of beautiful nature, but also lead to more air-traffic, more greenhouse-gas emissions, and the continuation of climate-destruction.
So in the beginning of this year, climate-justice warriors took to the trees, in order to actively block the work needed for the expansion. In hammocks, tree houses, and with barricades on the ground, they keep the forest occupied all year round.
Just like in our home, the Hambach Forest, where energy-company RWE is clear-cutting to make way for their lignite-mine, the German law only allows forest to be cut within the so-called cutting season, from October 1st to February 28th.
Therefore the coming of October, also threatens the occupation inside the Trebur Forest.
In order to mobilize people, and give activists the skills to take part in their struggle, the Trebur occupation is organizing a skill-share festival in the beginning of the cutting season, from October 3rd until October 8th.
Here our movements can meet, network, share experiences, stories and skills, and prepare to be mutually resistant in the coming cutting-season!
The coal that is extracted here in the Rheinland is fueling the same neo-liberal, global capitalist system that lies behind the expansion of the Frankurt airport. Therefore our struggle is one and the same!
Neither FRAPORT nor RWE!
In solidarity with the Trebur Forest Occupation!
Against airport-expansion, and the world that depends on it!
Hambach Forest and Trebur Forest stay!
Hambacher Forst und Treburer Wald bleiben!
One struggle, one fight!
