Athens, September 28: In the rainy early morning hours there was gathering in solidarity with Hambacher forest.
The time is now – let us push the preservation of the Hambacher Forest and the coal exit! We call all of you to join us on 6 October for an action around the Hambacher Forst – in addition to our long-planned mass action of civil disobedience from 25 to 29 October 2018.
We do not want a coal phase-out by 2038 nor 2030, rather we want to get out of coal immediately. We need to get out of this globally devastating dirty energy that has no future.
Trebur Forest: The destructive expansion of industrial capitalism has many faces. Whether in the context of the expropriation of land in Notres-Dames-des-Landes, attack on indigenous sovereignty on Turtle Island, or destruction of nature in Rheinland, it is clear that our resistance against this system of exploitation and destruction, is one of solidarity!
The AZ Cologne (autonomous center) and the Wagenplatz “Who owns the world”, also in Cologne, are both in acute danger of eviction and destruction. The AZ for the extension of the green belt, a parking strip across Cologne, the Wagenplatz should be sold.
The exploitation interests of an unbridled financial market in the city of Cologne are the cause of this distribution of primarily left, self-managed open spaces from the cityscape of Cologne. These mostly noncommercial spaces, which do not bring big money to anyone but much more bring people together, should go away.
The struggle against all the forces that vandalise human dignity has no borders. A human life is a human life where ever it may find itself. Just as we welcome comrades from other countries into our movement, and host comrades visiting from other countries in South Africa in meetings in our hall built in the eNkanini Land Occupation, we are also offered solidarity and hosted by comrades around the world, such as the Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST) in Brazil.
On Saturday the 3rd of November Anti-Fascist Action (AFA) will organise a nationwide demonstration in the Hague under the motto: ‘No one is illegal. Down with fortress Europe. Freedom of movement for all.’ Europe has closed its borders to refugees and migrants. That is why we want to make a clear statement with as many people as possible against fortress Europe and its migration policies.
Hambacher Forest: Another day is over in this tough, weeks-long eviction by police and state machinery for the profits of RWE and their coal lobby.
Comment Anarchist Black Cross: the following letter has been written over several days, directly after the first letter/statement. Sadly we can‘t give a date.
Now all the more! Demonstration for the preservation of the Hambach forest and the immediate exit from fossil fuels.
Thursday, 09/27/2018, Buir station with kick-off rally
Start of the demonstration: 5:00 pm (17:00)
