Letter by Kurt Classen, owner (in a juridical sense, Classen allowed activists to build a protest camp on the field at the edge of Hambacher Forest) of the field where Wiesencamp (Meadows) was build on. The letter was send to Armin Laschet, Prime Minister of the German state North Rhine Westphalia. Update: The eviction has been delayed for now as Kurt Classen appealed against the decision.

“Dear Prime Minister,
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Government of North Rhine-Westphalia,
Timely and in the exercise of the rights under the Constitution a complaint was filed today at the building authority of the Düren district against the intention of the NRW regime for immediate and complete evacuation of the protest camp at the Hambach Forest.
If this constitutionally guaranteed right of the complaint is disregarded and tomorrow the complete and immediate eviction of the Protestcamps have begun, the NRW-Regime has to assume that immediately after tomorrow the immediate and complete shutdown of the open pit Hambach will ve carried out, otherwise later.
Kurt Classen, 8.10.2018 “
The Meadow, owned by Kurt Classen, is to be forcibly expropriated. @HambiBleibt protesters still occupying. Donations needed for court costs! Easy to do from a distance. See: https://t.co/5YMp5SizVr
