In the past few days (as of 11/14/2018), a series of attacks, in our view with high certainty carried out by employees of RWE or subcontractors, took place on the Krähennest (Crow’s Nest).
Note: Enough is Enough is not organizing any of these events, we are publishing this text for people across the US and Europe to be able to see what is going on and for documentation only.
- Nocturnal throwing of explosive devices (firecrackers etc), several times, last in the night to 11/14/2018 in the period from 0.55 to 1.15 a total of 4 pieces, by ear obviously from the ancient A4 motorway at different points in the forest. We do not judge these attacks as targeted against us but above all also directed against the forest and its animals.
- Destruction of the right outside mirror of a vehicle parked right in front of the Krähennest on Nov.13th. On this day from about 10.00 work took place at the pumping station in front of the Crow’s Nest. An activist called out to people with safety vests to ask if the parked vehicle should be moved away for the time of the work. The people in safety vests answered, no, the car could stay there. At around 3.30pm in the afternoon, activists found that the right side mirror was lying broken on the soil next to the vehicle. The mirror could be mounted on the car again, but the mirror surface is splintered (unfortunately photo taken only afterwards, see below). For the activists it was uncertain at this time whether it was a targeted attack or an accident. It was also noticeable that the left (undamaged) mirror had been snapped shut. When parking the car, the mirror was in normal position. Further damage to the vehicle was not recognizable.
- On the morning of Nov. 14th, at 11am, activists found that yellow and black paint had apparently been deliberately sprayed over the vehicle. (see photos) The paint was still wet at this time and could be largely removed. Other people say to have noticed a reddish-brown pickup about 30-60 minutes earlier, moving down the road from west to east, slowing down a bit, and then something incomprehensible being called with a male-perceived voice.
