A Shady “Antifascist Canada” Twitter Account

There’s been a bit of news before about fake antifa social media accounts, most of which are run by right-wing trolls. Generally they are so clueless about leftist ideology and unconnected to local issues that only other right-wingers have been foolish enough to fall for them. But this “Antifascist Canada” (@AntiFascist_CA) Twitter account is suspicious for different reasons.

#Antifa #Duesseldorf: Massive violence against #DSSQ counter protest – Attacks and knife thrown on anti-fascists

On November 17, 2018, about 450 people marched on a demo organized by far right right organizations in Düsseldorf (German territory, EIE), two anti-fascist counter-protesters were injured by members of the “Bruderschaft Deutschland” (“Brotherhood Germany”, EIE) from Düsseldorf. The fact that nothing worse happened was only accidentally.
