Swedish territory: Antifascist victory in #Stockholm

November 30 has long been a kind of celebration for the Swedish fascist movement. It is the anniversary of the death of King Karl XII. But it is also a day where antifascism has consistently stood up for solidarity and humanity. For the fascists this year was a special day for the fascists, since it’s 300 years since Karl XII died. SUF Stockholm and several others made sure they received an extraordinary anti-fascist response.

Nordisk Ungdom (In English: Nordic Youth. Nordic Youth is a fascist and antisemitic youth organization in the white power movement in Sweden.  Nordic Youth was founded in 2010, EIE .) planned a torch march from Humlegården to Kungsträdgården (In Stockholm, EIE) with a closing gathering with speeches. They were confronted with a chanting anti-fascist crowd at the statue of Karl the Twelfth. The speech was disturbed and the fascist demonstration was dissolved after conflicts with the police and anti-fascists. The fascists were escorted home or to the detention center with their tail between their legs.

Once again, we have shown that fascists have no place on the streets of Stockholm. We do not back off a millimeter. No pasarán!
