The Hague, #Netherlands: Banner-drop and graffitti to commemorate #Alexis

10 years ago Alexis Grigoropoulos was shot dead by police in Athens. In this context a banner was hung up and graffiti was sprayed in the city center of The Hague.

Originally published by Indymedia NL. Translated by Enough is Enough. Image above: Text on banner says: These nights are for Alexis. For the revolt! For Anarchy!

Note: Enough is Enough is not organizing any of these events, we are publishing this text for people across the US and Europe to be able to see what is going on and for documentation only.

You will find the all articles of our series 10 years after police murder on Alexis: here.

The text on the banner reminds everybody about the death of Alexis an that the state can turn against us at each moment. Let’s not passively wait and see but start with the revolt now.

At one of the most busy cross-ways in The Hague was written: “These nights are for Alexis”.

Remembrance means fighting. We should not stand on the sidelines until we are affected. Not stand on the sidelines when our comrades perish in prisons and when the state kills the last thing we will do is “dwell on” that. Commemoration and solidarity through struggle!

For the revolt!

For a black December!
