Croatian border: “I told them: ‘Stop! You’re hurting me. I cannot breathe.’”

Croatian media outlets reported this week on the case of an unaccompanied minor from Afghanistan who was subject to severe and inhuman treatment at the hands of Croatian authorities who was locked in a dark room, where officials questioned him and later “forced him to take his clothes off, made him get into water, where they released electricity through a [taser], which led to him losing consciousness.” During the incident, he suffered a broken rib, internal bleeding, and lost a significant amount of blood.

Thousands take the streets against the attack against #Exarcheia by the Greek state

Saturday, 31 August 2019: Two to three thousand people (according to different estimates) marched down the neighbourhood of Exarcheia in central Athens, following a massive police raid against 4 squats (mainly housing refugees) on Monday 26 August and the consequent arrest of 143 migrants and 3 others. Following the police raid, the neighbourhood of Exarchia has been turned into a “militarized” zone with constant riot police attacks against people in the area and social centers.
