Greece: Anarchist Kostas Sakkas starts hunger strike
Deprived of several of his fundamental rights for six months in the Korydallos prison, including the possibility of studying, Kostas sakkas wrote this open letter yesterday (December 16, 2019, Enough 14):
“Over the past six months in Korydallos prison, I have been imposed an informal exceptional regime, depriving me of the right for benefits, excluding me from educational programmes, forbidding me to carry out any activity within the prison and anything that could help me to support and improve my situation.
As of today, December 16, I start a hunger strike in order to put an end to the exceptional regime that I am subjected to, as for all the other prisoners and comrades in struggle.
Kostas SAKKAS, December 16, 2019
Korydallos prison, Athens.”
