Huachalalume Prison, La Serena
To my comrades on the street:
Understanding the costs according to our objective of changing society, one of the first steps in the revolutionary path, the start is the political militancy and today more than ever, the prison, specifically the preventive detention is the dissuasive weapon of the state to demobilize and disarticulate the movement in its entirety. We are already more than 2500 prisoners of the revolt and not all of them are well. Some of us have been lucky and astute in our efforts, but many others have been crushed in their cells and the vast majority of the prison population cannot understand how we can put our lives at risk without receiving money in return. It is in this value where the revolutionary spirit lies, the struggle is not a business and here is where I put emphasis: what we want is a life with dignity.
After more than 40 days in prison I know that my momentum and commitment to the community of struggle remains intact. My struggle here is one of agitation for the abolition of the prisons and the struggle with my fellow fighters. You must continue in the streets, not only for the cause but so that our punishment and isolation will not be in vain.
From the prisons of the semarid north a greeting in resistance to all the prisoners of the revolt.
