Class War Daily 30 April 2020: “The walk outs in the #UK show that workers are not going to go back to the way things were”

UK. Building workers from London to Manchester are walking off luxury apartment developments which are clearly not ‘essential’ according to the governments own definition.

Five hundred workers on the ‘Affinity Living’ top range development walked out this morning (29th April) protesting over no hand sanitiser and being forced into eating in crowded ‘canteens’ where Covid is spreading rapidly.

Just look at this photo (above). The Shut the Sites rank and file movement are fighting conditions and pay reductions for different buildings.

As we write we hear of two more walkouts. Construction workers across the world are being caught between corona virus and joblessness. The walk outs in the UK show that workers are not going to go back to the way things were.

Class War’s slogan is spreading from Istanbul to Accrington.
