#Malmö, #Sweden, June 9: Action in solidarity with Black Lives Matter

George Floyd was executed by a white police officer just like so many black men and women in the United States.

Demonstrations have come to life in many parts of the United States, where police and military continue to use force against the black population.

Violence against black people is everywhere, and Sweden can say how much they want about how kind and color-blind they are, how their anti-racism is something that other countries should learn from. But the truth is that, as in the US, the Swedish police have repeatedly beaten black bodies, abused pregnant women, children, young people.

Racism, the institutional violence, also exists in Sweden.

It’s time to show solidarity with Black Lives Matters, with the demonstrations in the US, show that we stand together against the racism that our comrades have had to live with for 500 years.

Follow the instructions below:

-Wear black clothes
– wear a mask
-wear gloves or mittens (BLACK!)
– keep 2 meters away from each other
-take your own poster

We gather at 1700 (June 9, 2020) at Möllevångstorget (Malmö, Sweden) and show solidarity!
