#Stuttgart is stable

Stuttgart. Germany. There is good news! In Stuttgart on Saturday night (June 20) some young people followed the example of the worldwide revolts and started to resist the police. And of course it’s good news, even if some shop windows of petty bourgeoisie have been hit.

So now also in Germany. In the country, where one almost already thought that this thing also passes without a trace. In the last month people in the USA have demonstrated it, now they even dare to do it in the Ländle [1]: You don’t have to put up with police arbitrariness endlessly. The USA is culturally still a main reference country for young people and when you see how constant dripping wears away the stone there, it is only logical to become active here too, where police assaults and racism are a reality.

The liberal left can no longer keep up with the distancing and cannot understand the violence at all. Are you serious or do you act only out of opportunism and fear of the fascists becoming angry with you? They say the wildest things here. They would help the far right and give the police the legitimacy for even harder actions. It makes you wonder where the hell these people have been traceling during the last years? No more talk about racist police violence, when last week everyone was so indignant about how bad the conditions are in the USA. But left-wing liberals don’t want to hear that it is similar here, that’s what Saturday night screams in your face. In their world there is an ideal solution for everything, but please people don’t use violence! These are statements that can only come from people who have never been victims of police violence. And it is no secret that violence will at some point meet with resistance.

You have to imagine: Finally something’s happening in Germany. Young people spontaneously start to resist and then some privileged “leftists” come along and explain to them what is right and wrong. Fortunately, however, the German left in political party form has no connection and influence on the young people anyway. They are not as one would like them to be and that’s a good thing.

At the same time, the debate about the police=trash article in the taz [2] continues and the right in the state and outside the state of course immediately establish a connection as if the Taz were THE medium par excellence among migrant youth. What they cannot understand: It’s long since newspaper articles were needed to turn people against the police. They manage this quite well alone through their violent excesses, through their racism and far right terrorism in their own ranks. You don’t have to read Taz for that.

But now the garbage association has once too often insulted people racially, pressed people to the ground and treated people like dirt. People are increasingly not taking any more shit from them. An example that will hopefully set a precedent. Next weekend everywhere please.
