Atlanta. Georgia. On July 4th, the holiday that celebrates the founding of the white supremacist United States by slave owners, militants attacked the Georgia State Patrol headquarters in Atlanta, setting off fireworks inside the building.

Several dozen revolutionaries marched to the building. Smoke could be seen through a glass window of the building after the red flash that came from inside.

Windows were broken, and pigs were being treated with oxygen following the incident.

Protests have taken place in Atlanta over the past month in response to the murders of Rayshard Brooks and George Floyd by police.

The building is located about 3 miles (5 kilometers) southeast of downtown. It also houses a number of other state agencies.

The anti-police uprising that began after the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis and spread around the United States is still ongoing. Also on July 4th, in Olympia, Washington, the City Hall and a police station were attacked by militants.

As the struggle for black liberation continues, militant actions against police and capitalist targets are expected to continue.
