Dannenrod. Germany. November 22, 2020. Since this morning at 8:00 a.m. 250 activists from Ende Gelände are blocking the access roads to the Dannenrod forest in the German state of Hesse to prevent the further eviction of tree houses.

Since early October, the black-green state government in Hesse has been clearing the forest with a massive police operation in order to build a new highway. Ende Gelände demands an immediate stop of the clearing and the highway construction.
Ronja Weil, Press Spokeswoman of Ende Gelände, explains:
“While the Greens are announcing 1.5° at their party conference, we see the reality of black-green climate destruction at Danni: in the middle of the climate crisis they are destroying a forest for a new highway. We oppose this madness: With hundreds of activists we are blocking deforestation and we fight for climate justice today!”

We have succeeded! Today no tree will be cut down because we are blocking the clearing with 400 people!
Whoever builds a highway in the climate crisis is in conflict with the entire climate movement! In the Danni we fight for the change of traffic!
