Dannenrod, Germany: Attempted arson attack against Danni protest camp

Dannenrod. Germany. In the night from the 8th to the 9th of January we had uninvited visitors at the camp. Four people kicked off a car mirror, pushed a porta-potti around and attempted two times to set fire to a nearby barn.

Originally published by Wald Statt Asphalt. Translated by Riot Turtle for Enough 14.

The first time it was a shelf in the barn, the second time an empty private tent. Their attempts were unsuccessful. In each case, the fire was extinguished with a few hands full of snow. In a brief confrontation with two people from the camp, the four people wanted nothing to do with any of this and left. An hour later they came back by car. We have the license plate.

We will not be intimidated by such things. Our will to fight for our utopias and a good life for all is too strong to be shaken by such actions. We faced an ecivtion operation over a period of two months, coped with water cannons, pepper spray, tasers and pain grips, all the more we are able to deal with amateurish attempts to set things on fire.

Danni stays!
