An indefinite-alternating hunger strike was launched in Turkish prisons on November 27 to protest the incarceration of Kurdish guerrilla Abdullah Öcalan, who has been held in Imrali High Security F-Type Closed Prison for 22 years, and the increasing violations of rights in prisons. The massive hunger strike has been taken over by the 29th group on day 141.

On December 18, a hunger strike was launched in Martyr Rustem Cudi (Maxmur) Camp under the leadership of women against the Imrali isolation. The action, carried out by the Maxmur Martyrs’ Families Association, has entered its 120th day.
The indefinite-alternating hunger strike action in Greece’s Lavrio Camp is continuing on day 103. The hunger strike is led by the Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ-Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger), the Kurdish Women’s Movement in Europe (Tevgera Jinên Kurdistan a Ewropa) and Kurdish Cultural Center (Navenda Çanda Kurdistan).
