Castilla-La Mancha: Fraguas Revive – The rural squat wins its first battle temporarily against the demolition of the village

Fraguas. Castilla-La Mancha. Spanish state. Thanks to a document officially issued by the Criminal Court No. 1 of Guadalajara on April 29th, the Fraguas inhabitants learned that the demolition of the village is temporarily suspended. It is a change of judicial criteria that has been achieved by the struggle and the legal battle that its inhabitants have been defending for years and that temporarily stops the execution of the sentence of demolition of the village.

Colombia: Demonstration and brutal repression in Bucaramanga on May 19

Colombia. Bucaramanga. May 19. 2021.The city of Bucaramanga experienced a complicated day after security forces violently repressed demonstrations by residents this Wednesday, May 19. Human rights organizations reported more than 30 people injured, including one person with an eye injury from an ESMAD (Colombian riot cops) weapon, and several arrests in the Bucaramanga metropolitan area.

We Are Now: The Story of an Armed No-Cop Zone in Atlanta [Video]

On the night of June 12, 2020, Atlanta police officers murdered Rayshard Brooks, a 27-year-old Black man, at a Wendy’s in south Atlanta, Georgia. This took place immediately following the high point of the countrywide uprising in which people responded to the murders of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Breonna Taylor in Louisville, and countless other Black people around the United States. In response, a new wave of protest and revolt broke out across Atlanta, in which the Wendy’s burned to the ground. Armed Black demonstrators occupied the site of the Wendy’s, mourning for Rayshard Brooks and seeking to create spaces of Black empowerment.

Campaign for the release of Gabriel Pombo da Silva

Gabriel Pombo da Silva is a well-known Galician anarchist militant who has spent more than 30 years in prison. Always at the crossroads of repression, both Spanish and from other European States, for his commitment to the anti-capitalist struggle, he wrote a book during his stay in jail – Diario e ideario de un delincuente -, as well as different booklets – gathered in the book Parte de un appido— and other writings.
