Leipzig. Germany. Tonight (21.10.2021), the Administrative Court of Leipzig has confirmed the ban without substitution of all three Alle zusammen! Demonstrations for October 23 in Leipzig.

Motivation of the court (German):

In addition, the Saxon Interior Ministry has set up a widespread control area from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 until 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 24, 2021.

More information (German):

Last night, the Administrative Court (VG) of Leipzig confirmed the ban without substitution of the three planned “All Together!” demonstrations.

In the decision of the VG is also argued with a danger prediction: It was to be expected that the demonstration as a whole would take a violent or inflammatory turn. Among other things, the nationwide calls for the demonstration serve as “evidence” for this. In the opinion of the VG no more moderate means were available. Otherwise usual conditions and restrictions were not suitable to prevent the danger for public security and order.

After the available motivation of the VG Leipzig, we have decided not to file an appeal at the OVG Bautzen. We currently estimate our chances of success as low, instead, urgent proceedings before the OVG carries the risk of cementing the ban, which could also have a negative impact on future assemblies.

It is no longer up to us as organizers of the banned demonstrations how the weekend continues to develop.
