Athens. Greece. Yesterday night 2/12 some comrades from the squatted social center Zizania went to hang a banner on Strefi, and were apprehended by the police in another daily example of intimidation and repression. These comrades are both around 15. The banner calls for the demo on the 6th of December, and reads “No December is over. Insurrection is more necessary than ever.”

As the comrades were hanging the banner, a squad of Delta cops passed by. They told the comrades to remove the banner, and they refused. After bullying the comrades they took two of them who are minors to the police station. They were eventually released after an ID check. It is not lost on us, nor do we believe it was lost on the cops, that they apprehended two teenagers who were hanging a banner to resist the cop-killing of another teenager.
The cops want to convey that they have complete control. They want to display that they can arrest us and intimidate us and beat us and kill us indiscriminately. That being a teenager in Exarcheia is dangerous. As always we refuse and resist. The teenagers will continue to take the streets. We will all continue to take the streets.
We will see you at the demo on the 6th of December, and you can check out our banner on Strefi, and on the balconies of our squat.
No December is over!
Insurrection is more necessary than ever!
