Voronezh

On the evening of March 2, near the house No. 47 on 9 Januwara Street in Voronezh, an unknown person smashed a glass canister with a flammable liquid against the entrance door of the Office for Military Registration and Recruitment of two city districts, then set fire and fled. The fire damaged a part of the door; there were no casualties. The partisan escaped. Unfortunately, the face of the suspected arsonist was captured on a surveillance camera, and the police are now trying to identify him.

Sverdlovsk region

On March 13, 2022, employees of the garbage removal company reported another arson attack. According to the employees’ account, a 25-year-old shopkeeper protesting against the sending of conscripts to Ukraine threw a Molotov cocktail in front of the building of the Military Commissariat on Revolutsionnaya Street (the name of the town is not mentioned, most likely it refers to Berezovsky) at around 5 am. Unfortunately, the arsonist is arrested and charged with attempted murder, as the security guard was in the building when the attack took place. The security guard was not injured.

Moscow region

Meanwhile, details of the escape of the arsonist from the Lukhovitsy recruitment office have emerged. MK journalists report that Kirill, a 21-year-old local resident, after setting fire to the recruitment office on the night of February 28, dumped his phone and did not contact his family. He was arrested on the border between Belarus and Lithuania on March 8. The arsonist was immediately extradited and taken to the police station in Lukhovitsy. Kirill told the police that he intended to go to the Ukraine territory, where the Russian Federation is carrying out a special operation. Criminal proceedings were initiated against him under the Criminal act, paragraph “Vandalism”.

On March 13, in the early morning hours, he asked to go to the toilet. The man was handcuffed and taken to the toilet at the criminal investigation department. From there, Kirill took advantage of the inattention of the guards, jumped out the window and ran away. He managed to climb over a three-meter high chain-link fence and run in the direction of the M5 highway. The fugitive’s tracks have now been found in the forest in the direction of Kolomna.
