Local authorities have now decided to forbid the volunteers of No Name Kitchen to offer any service or help.
Tonight we will travel with people of the Cars of Hope collective to Bosnia. We will hook-up with our friends of the former Soul Food Kitchen. In the past weeks I reported a lot about Hambacher Forest. The struggle against RWE’s open pit mine is important, climate change is already taking its toll. On Monday I returned to Velika Kladuša at the Bosnian side of the Bosnian/Croatian border. Apart from people that are fleeing for war and persecution, more and more people are also forced to leave their villages and cities because of climate change.

Yesterday the self-organised refugee protest camp at the Bosnian-Croatian border near Velika Kladuša was evicted by the Bosnian police. There are also reports of police violence against migrants in the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo, and restrictions of the freedom of movement of migrants in Bosnia.

Migrants protested for the third day in a row against EU border policies at the Maljevac border crossing. Croatian cops violently stopped migrants at the Bosnian/Croatian border. Several migrants were injured. The protests are ongoing.

The violence of Croatian cops continues to increase. Today we saw refugees with bruises and plaster again. On May 30 Croatian cops shot at a van with refugees inside. Seven people had to be treated in hospital, two of them were children and remain under intensive care.

At around 04:00am I woke up with the sound of helicopters in the air. Croatian border patrols hunting refugees in the border region. More and more people arrive here at the Bosnian side of the border and Croatian authorities do about anything to stop people to cross.
