Riot Turtle: Preparing the next stage of the social war

Wuppertal. German territory. May 26. 2020. So now the so-called contact bans are eased more and more. They never existed at most work places anyway, only social life was completely killed by the German state. And now parts of the state of emergency are being eased again. That’s actually not surprising as the whole show, the prelude, the first act and the now started second act, was performed to protect the economy. That might sound strange, but it isn’t.

Riot Turtle: “Ritualized protests are not something our rulers are worried about”

The COVID-19 outbreak is a time-mark. A pre-revolutionary phase, the only thing we do not know yet in which direction things will turn. At the moment the cards are sorted and shuffled, and when the German left dont want to be crushed by the (far) right, some things need to be changed.

Riot Turtle: “Are the remaining antagonistic splinters able to connect with those who are subjected to racial profiling and police brutality on a daily basis?”

I never was an optimist, but the current cycle of revolts is inspiring and even some developments in this country, Germany, have the potential to grow. As a result there might be more antagonistic actions.

The waiting time for an apartment was at least 10 years. They were mostly allocated through a distribution system of the city administration. Apartments on the “free” market were unaffordable. Young people either had to stay with their parents as adults, leave the city, or squat. At the peak of the Amsterdam squatter movement, about 22,000 people lived in squatted houses.

#COVID19 quarantine diary, Day 2: “Big business will do everything they can to make sure that we are going to pay for the recession”

Wuppertal. Germany. March 18, 2020. The second day in quarantine wasn’t cery different from the first one. Except.. as I live alone… and normally meet a lot of people, its starting to get strange to be isolated. Parts of the left are starting more and more to point their finger on people who still meet outside.
