SödrⒶ Klubben publishes online the brochure The discrete charm of the Swedish social democracy and why antifascism is not enough. This is a collective project that we worked with for almost two years, depicting the Swedish political reality the last period through historical analysis and an anarchist perspective. In the brochure, we make the argument that antifascism as it is practiced right now remind us of a limited militant anti-nazism that lacks a holistic political approach and set of actions against the principal matrix of fascism in the country, and any country: the state and capital!Continue reading The discrete charm of the Swedish social democracy and why antifascism is not enough – Brochure by SödrⒶ Klubben

The seven theses I propose here were first published as part of a preface to T. Derbent’s German Communist Resistance 1933–1945, published by Foreign Languages Press (2020). I have reworked parts of that preface here as a standalone essay that aims to summarize the praxis of the three-way fight and forecast problems and prospects going forward.

“Militant antifascists must maintain a revolutionary horizon to avoid being absorbed within the ideological parameters of liberal antifascism. At the same time, antifascist work cannot merely be absorbed into revolutionary work; antifascism is community self-defense.”
Leipzig. Germany. There has never really been any reason in the history of the FRG to believe that state repression is on a downward trend. Nevertheless, in recent years – and especially in the wake of the G20 summit – many have the impression that repression is increasing (not only in the FRG).

Dresden. Germany. This evening (07.09.), a powerful and loud spontaneous demonstration moved through Dresden Neustadt to draw attention to tomorrow’s start of the trial against Lina E. and Antifa Ost at the Higher Regional Court (OLG) Dresden. More than 100 protesters took part, who wanted to show that although a few are sitting in the dock, this trial criminalizes necessary anti-fascist work of an entire movement. The charged group of anti-fascists are accused of being members of a terrorist organization according to §129 and of having carried out arson attacks and assaults against neo-Nazis. The defendant Lina E. has been held in pre-trial detention since November 2020, as the investigating authorities have used several cell phones and a small amount of cash in her apartment as evidence of an intention to flee.Continue reading Militant pre-evening spontaneous demo against the §129-trial against Antifa Ost in Dresden [Germany]
