After far right #FVD won elections: #Antifa bloc at “Together against racism” demo in #Amsterdam

Netherlands: On March 20 the far right FvD has won regional elections, the election results also play a role on a national level, as regioal parliaments vote for the members of the senat. With 13 seats, the FvD is now the biggest party in the 75 seats strong Dutch senate. The far right PVV of Geert Wilders will have seats in the new senate.

#Antifa #Finland: The Antifascist network Varis turns 5 years!

On Wednesday the 13th of February 2019 it has been five years since the founding of the Antifascist network Varis in Finland. The five year celebrations were held in the following weekend in Helsinki, Jyväskylä and Tampere. At the end of 2013 a group of antifascists from several different cities started to meet and plan together the founding of a new antifascist network. This became the Varis network, groups of which were founded in Helsinki, Turku and Tampere.

Greece: How Neo-Nazi gangs are targeting squats

On the night of September 17 2013, the Greek rapper Pavlos Fyssas (Killah P) and his friends sat in the local coffee shop Korali, in Keratsini, to the south of Athens. There was a football match on the TV. The place was packed. Soon a verbal dispute between local two members of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn and Fyssas’ friends started. Just one hour later Fyssas will be murdered outside of the Korali, stabbed in the heart by a member of local Golden Dawn branch: Giorgos Roupakias.

Paris: The NPA demonstration was violently attacked yesterday, Saturday, during Act XI of the Yellow Vests in Paris by “les Zouaves”, an informal group of radical far-right activists from different organizations and ultras. Last week, they also attacked anti-fascist activists.

#Montreal January 29: Day of Action against #Islamophobia to commemorate victims of fascist attack in #Quebec City

Almost two years ago, on January 29, 2017, Alexandre Bissonnette entered a mosque in Quebec City in Canada and in the course of a few minutes, murdered Azzeddine Soufiane, Mamadou Tanou Barry, Khaled Belkacemi, Aboubaker Thabti, Ibrahima Barry and Abdelkrim Hassane. Nineteen others were injured, many severely.
