A growing encampment has established itself at the Northwest Detention Center immigration prison in Tacoma. People have been camping out for several nights now, sharing food, making friends, and building capacity toward abolishing ICE and ending the violent horror of borders. There is free food, a badminton net, free literature, engaging conversation, and lots more. Every day at 9am and 9pm is a family-friendly noise demo for the prisoners inside, and there’s lots of room for other forms of solidarity and resistance as well.
Hundreds of activists, students and immigrants along with trade unionists closed down San Francisco ICE on February 28, 2018.
With Trump planning a major wave of ICE raids targeting Northern California in the coming weeks, especially targeting sanctuary cities, organized community responses are essential to beating back these attacks. The goal, as always with immigration enforcement, is to strike fear in immigrant communities, reinforce their precarious status as workers and feed Trump’s base that supports his white nationalist agenda.

WHEN IMMIGRANT RIGHTS ARE UNDER ATTACK
WHAT DO WE DO?
STAND UP, FIGHT BACK!
White America has a long ugly history of destroying family and culture of black and brown folks who were forced into the country, either in chains, or as refugees. It’s 2018, and still families are being separated based on racist policies which govern who qualifies for US citizenship. The current administration has shown extreme prejudice against black and brown immigrants, and it’s clear that now these sentiments are being carried out by ICE. Today, in West Bend WI, a member of my own family was arrested at his home and detained indefinitely. Continue reading ICE Raids Wisconsin Dairy Farms: You Caring
On Wednesday, August 16, at about 7am, a convoy of unmarked federal vehicles rolled up in West Oakland and over two dozen armed Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents stormed a Latina home, supposedly in service of a warrant for the “human trafficking of juveniles.”

Today, Jeff Sessions speaking on behalf of the Trump Administration, announced that it will be advising the Department of Homeland Security to begin an “orderly, lawful wind-down” of the DACA program.
On Saturday, September 9th at 2PM in Oscar Grant Plaza, Oakland, we invite all undacamented folks, families and allies to join us in a rally and march to show love and support for #DACA. We must show those affected that we stand with them, and those making the decision that we’ve already made it for them. We are here to stay!

At noon on Monday, April 10th, over 100 detained immigrants at the Northwest Detention Center (NWDC) in Tacoma began a 72-hour hunger strike to protest human rights abuses inside the facility and to fight for better conditions. As of 8PM Monday, the strike had spread to 415 detainees. Organizers on the inside have asked for the presence of supporters at the Detention Center until it ends. People who are willing to stay late/come early/camp out in front of the NWDC are urged to head there as soon as possible. The NWDC is located at 1623 E J St, Tacoma. Donations of food/water/supplies are also needed and appreciated.
The Trump administration has made it a corner-stone of its fascistic platform to harasses, deport, and incarcerate immigrants at an unprecedented rate. DHS and ICE have been raiding homes and workplaces at an increasing pace. One such workplace in NYC is under attack. However, rather than accept their fate and allow their friends and families to be torn apart by these policies, these people have chosen to fight back.
