Pushbacks at the German-Polish border – people seeking protection are pushed back to Poland by the German federal police

For about a year, the catastrophic situation at the Polish-Belarusian border has led to life-threatening migration routes via Poland to Germany and other EU countries. People on the move are instrumentalized for political conflicts, are criminalized in Polish camps, mistreated and deprived of their most basic human rights. If they manage to continue their journey, they meet Germanys undignified and grueling asylum system, which in many cases foresees a Dublin deportation back to Poland.

The position of a group of belarusian anarchists in Warsaw on the war in Ukraine

After February 24, among ourselves and with comrades from different countries, we often discuss the situation Europe found itself in. Why did the war start? How has it changed the political prospects of the region and, in particular, Belarus? How do we feel about NATO? Is it possible, while remaining anarchists, to serve in the state armed forces? Finally, what should we do in the context of the war, being part of the diaspora in Poland? We have come up with a collective position on these and other issues, which are outlined in the following text.

Ukraine: Antifascist action in the midst of war, part 1

In March, Anton, a friend of mine, told me about his intention to travel to Kiev. We agreed to stay in touch, and before his departure came up with the idea of collecting his experiences, thoughts and encounters into a series of articles that we could use to keep anarchist and anti-authoritarian comrades updated on the situation of anarchists in Ukraine in the midst of conflict. We reasoned that it would be more practical to base the articles on interviews of Anton by me, to allow him to focus on his other activities there. The final text, the one you’re reading here, has been checked and approved by Anton. This is the first article of the series.

Enough of criminalizing migration – International Demo in Krosno Odrzańskie, Poland

Krosno Odrzańskie. Poland. We want to express our solidarity with all those imprisoned in the closed retention centers centers. Officially they are called centers for foreigners, but we prefer to speak of retention centers because the conditions in which these people live there have nothing to do with what legally should be a center for foreigners.
We will not forget about these people, even though the authorities are trying to do everything in their power to erase their existence from public awareness.

Solidarity Without Borders in Poland & Belarus

Thousands of people are trapped on the border between Belarus and Poland. Approximately 6,000 men, women and children are out in temperatures falling as low as -10C as they attempt to cross the border into Europe. The events – geopolitical, national, personal – leading to this situation are complex, but one thing is certain: the people there need our practical support and solidarity today.
