Strong in Diversity? A look at Pride Zurich this year again shows that the neo-liberal diversity policy of the current event committee never means all of us and will never mean all of us if we leave our supposed emancipation to companies and institutions instead of organizing ourselves in solidarity from below.Continue reading Corporations and police: Hands off our emancipation #notmypride
Switzerland: June 14th will go down in history as an important day in a country where normally everything is a little less spectacular. Hundreds of thousands of women in Switzerland took part in the second nationwide women strike. Actions and mobilizations took place in all parts of the country, in cities and in rural areas. By choosing June 14th a continuity to the first national women’s strike in 1991 was established. This is seen as the largest strike in Swiss post-war history. In order to achieve this goal, the demonstrators had to ignore the instructions of the police. The police had allowed the far right PNOS to hold a rally on the Messeplatz (fair square), while they had allowed the counter-event to be held only at a distant location.Continue reading #Basel, Swiss territory: Shoulder to Shoulder Against Nazis and Repression

Bern, Swiss territory: It is nice to get on the police’s nerves, as on Saturday May 18 around the Reitschule (riding school) in Bern. To remind them that they are not welcome, that their violent and repressive work is not accepted and that we resist.
