Belgium: About the sentence against anarchists in November 2020

Starting in 2008, the Belgian State carried out a large investigation aiming at different struggles that were in conflict with detention centres, borders, prisons and the world of authority and exploitation – always without concessions. In its sights: the anarchist library Acrata, anarchist and anti-authoritarian publications (Hors Service, La Cavale and Tout doit partir), dozens of flyers and posters, more than a hundred actions, attacks and acts of sabotage…in other words, the fight against Power in all its different expressions.

Italy: A few thoughts on the “No Green Pass” street protests

Italy. Over the past month the need for discussion with comrades from other countries has intensified; exchanges with like-minded people also across borders is revealing itself to be fundamental for having a broader perception of what is going on. Even if we cannot get an exact overview from these discussions, they certainly help us to look beyond our own small surroundings. They are often purely individual evaluations or those of small collectives.

Dimitris Hatzivasiliadis transferred to Korydallos [Athens, Greece]

Athens. Greece. The anarchist comrade Dimitris Hatzivasiliadis passed on Thursday 12/08 in front of an investigator and prosecutor at Thessaloniki Court, supporting his actions based on his conscription policy and his political choice to expropriate a bank, due to his condition of illegality and survival as a fugitive. There has not yet been a decision on the length of his sentence. Some people in solidarity gathered outside the Courthouse, banners were hung, fliers were thrown and anarchist slogans were shouted. The forces of OPKE and MAT (Units for the Reinstatement of Order and special division of the Hellenic Police,) had blocked all the entrances-exits around the perimeter of the building, as a result of which any live communication of the comrade with the people of the gathering was not possible.

London, UK: 2011 – 2021, 10 years since the murder by cops of Mark Duggan – The struggle against the existent continues

Thursday, August 4, 2011 Mark Duggan, a ‘real straight up and down respected man’ (words of London rapper, Chipmunk) from Tottenham in London, was blasted to death while on his way home in a cab by a mob of cops wielding Heckler & Koch MP5 carbines. 29 year old Mark, father of four young children, lived on the housing estate known as Broadwater Farm, a depressed predominantly Afro-Caribbean area. The area is infamous since the riot of 1985 after 49 year old Cynthia Jarrett collapsed and died of a heart attack as police raided her home. (During the riot a policeman, PC Blakelock, was hacked to death with a machete.) Today, in the words of a resident, ‘if you’re from Broadwater Farm, police are on you every day, you’re not allowed to come off the estate. If you come off the estate they follow you.’ They followed Mark Duggan and he ended up dead.
