Fascist Attacks Against #RefugeesGr and Supporters on #Lesvos

It was a heavy week on Lesvos, a violent fascist mob, supported by cops forced refugees to (at least temporarily) stop the occupation of Sappho square in Mytilini. On Saturday many people protested against the fascist mob, deportations and for open borders. #RefugeesGR Protests on #Lesvos Continue: #OpenTheIslands!

The protests of refugees on Lesvos island continue. In the past days conditions at the Moria refugee camp even got worse because of heavy rainfall. According to a post by Arash Hampay on Facebook. Hesam (who is on hunger strike) was questioned about his refusal to eat. Hesam replied that, “Until you set me free I will stay on hunger strike, because I didn’t do any crime, and if you deport me I might die there,” to which the policeman replied, “Ok. So you will die.”

#RefugeesGR #Lesvos: Hunger Striker in #Moria Detention for Deportation

Lesvos. Yesterday we reported that one of the hunger strikers, Hesam Shaeri Hesari, was arrested. Today people found out Hesam Shaeri Hesari was brought to the Moria detention center for deportation after his arrest.

#RefugeesGR: 3 Dead Bodies Washed Ashore on #Lesvos – Hunger Strikes Continue

The border policies of the EU member states continue to kill people. According to refugees a boat of the Turkish coast guard intercepted a dinghy in Greek waters and shots were fired. Three dead bodies have been washed ashore on a Lesvos beach. Meanwhile the refugee protests and hunger strikes on Lesvos and in Athens continue.

#RefugeesGR: Women & Girls Join Hunger Strike on #Lesvos

After thirteen days of protest and five days of hunger strike by five men of the protesting refugees on Sappho square in Mytilini on the island Lesvos (Greece), tomorrow five girls and women will join the hunger strike.

Protesting #RefugeesGR on #Lesvos Need Support – #OpenTheIslands

On the Greek island Lesvos refugees are protesting for more than a week now. Some of them started a hunger strike on Friday, others joined over the weekend. One person is  refusing to drink water. They need our support.

On the fifth day of refugees protests at Lesvos, Greek cops threatened to arrest the protesting refugees. But the refugees continued their protests and demand to be allowed to leave the island and travel to the main land. A report and video by Arash Hampay.

#RefugeesGR: Lies and Deception on #Lesvos

Earlier this week refugees from the Moria prison camp protested on Lesvos. On August 30 the police and EASO promised that the protesters would rech all their demands on  September 1 when they return to Moria. Earlier this week there was also an action in solidarity with life-savers at the Mediterranean.

Guard of #Moria Prison Camp Threatened Protesting #RefugeesGR With Violence

– Afghan asylum seekers’ occupation of Sappho Square in Lesvos ends.
– Authorities promise to resolve all cases within two days, or face further action.
– The protesters faced violent night-time attack and abuse from an off-duty Moria prison guard.
