Lugano. Switzerland. The Autonomous Center Il Molino (The Mill) in Lugano (Ticino-Switzerland) is threatened with eviction. After the strong repression of the March 8 demonstration at the Lugano train station, when the police used pepper spray and batons against demonstrators, politicians (Lega dei Ticinesi, SVP and FDP) and the local media launched a campaign for the immediate eviction of Molino under the old bourgeois discourse of “respect for the rules of democracy for all its citizens” and “for social peace and law and order”.

Our friends in Indonesia asked us to translate the following text and distribute it with an attached appeal for donations. Even if the text does not come directly from anarchists and certainly needs a critique in some points, it still reflects the spread and deeper radicalism of the resistance against the omnibus law. The resistance against capitalism, state and neoliberal reforms is strong in Indonesia and culminates in efforts to build a counter-movement to parliamentary politics. But repression by the state and its reactionary supporters is intensifying as well, with many people imprisoned, deported, injured, or in hiding. Of course, the situation is particularly serious during the ongoing pandemic.
