Greece: The following letter in solidarity was written by the Prisoner Struggle Committee in support of D.Koufontinas, who went on hunger strike on Wednesday, May 30th. Two solidarity marches have been announced in Athens so far, one on Wednesday and one on Saturday.
Vasilis Dimakis, the incarcerated student who is claiming the right to higher education, has been transferred to Korydallos Prison Hospital but refused to be examined. Since he is now on the 23d day of his hunger strike and aldready started a thirst strike, the doctor there predicted that serious health issues will appear soon and suggested Dimakis’ transfer to a proper hospital.

The folowing statement was written by two comrades who were arrested outside the squat Matrozou 45. We added a video of todays eviction.
While a very particular and specific commitment was made by the Ministry of Justice on Saturday, regarding a response to the appeal of the hunger and thirst striker Kostantinos Giagtzoglou, that was supposed to be given today, nothing was actually done.
According to witnesses, the nazis hit indiscriminately anyone and anything was in front of them for a few minutes, leaving five people injured, while they left chanting the fascist slogan “blood honor golden dawn”, their signature on the fascist crime. During the attack, they insulted and threatened the people inside the social centre Favela, screaming, among other threats, “cunts you are going to die”.
