Dannenrod. Germany. November 29. 2020. Since 08:30am this morning, 400 activists from the group “Aktion Schlagloch” (pothole action) have been blocking eviction and deforestation work in the Dannenrod forest in the German state of Hesse.

Dannenrod. Germany. Day X was already 10 days ago and deforestation in the Dannenröder Forst is advancing every day. Today, the people in Woanders were evicted and the main structure destroyed. The police already ensured several times in their public communication that their operations would be conducted under the principle of ‘safety before speed’. The following text will explain why that is not the case and link to the global context which makes the situation even more absurd. Clearing a healthy forest in times of climate crisis is insane and the operations aren’t “safe”. Neither for activists nor future generations.

Dannenrod, 20.11.2020. Today the police again proved their disproportionality. When one of their special vehicles got stuck in the mud between the vigil camp and the police logistics center (mother ship), the state executive responded by driving up a bulldozer and later also a water cannon from Baden-Württemberg. The activists responded to this overdone action by the police with sit-in blockades and a barricade occupation, which resulted in the cops once again brutally pushing people around and also not letting their batons out of action.
