We need your support – Open letter by #FridaysForFuture #Rojava

The Turkish army has been bombing Northern Syria without interruption since Wednesday. The local group of “Fridays For Future Rojava” has written an open letter to the climate movement. Today, Friday October 11, there will be a demonstration in solidarity with Rojava at 17:00. Starting point: City-Arkaden, Wuppertal-Elberfeld (German territory).

German territory: AFD at #FridaysForFuture #Darmstadt demonstration

German territory, Darmstadt: The fascist AFD party is not only known for their racist and neoliberal agenda, but also full of climate change deniers. On the same day, June 14, that AFD politician Alice Weidel stated that the sun is responsible for climate change, two AFD members marched with Fridays For Future in Darmstadt. The local Fridays For Future organisation team in Darmstadt refused to remove the AFD members from their Fridays For Future demo. They claimed that they vould not do that “on legal grounds”. Students that were marching at the demo interfered and removed the fascists themselves.

Aachen, German territory: Aachen police started another campaign to criminalize climate activists, after the series of fairy tales in Hambacher forest in the past years, Aachen police is now fantasizing about “violent-prone” Ende Gelaende groups in an attempt to divide climate justice activists in so-called Germany by sending a letter to many schools.

Transnational #FridaysForFuture demo in #Aachen during #EndeGelaende: Call for an anti-capitalist finger

On 21 June, the “Fridays for Future” movement will hold an internationally promoted demonstration in Aachen (German territory). Up to 50,000 people are expected! A star march is planned, in which different fingers will move to a common place of conclusion. One of these fingers will have a focus on anti-capitalism.

#FridaysForFuture #ClimateStrike on 15 February also in #Wuppertal (German territory): Demonstration

Students from the Bergisches city triangle Wuppertal, Solingen and Remscheid will strike on 15 February for more climate protection and a better climate policy. The Fridays For Future climate strikes have thus also arrived in the Bergisches Land region.

#FridaysForFuture: “We have come here to let you know that change is coming, whether you like it or not”

More and more cities across the globe are joining the Frifays for Future school strikes. On the German territory alone students will go on strike in more than 50 cities on Friday January 18. The school strikes for climate justice were started by 16 year old Greta Thunberg last year.
