Wuppertal-Vohwinkel/Haan-Gruiten. German territory. On Wednesday, February 19, we worked on an invitation text for a party on February 29. We wanted to celebrate the end of the logging season and thus the preservation of the Osterholz forest until at least 01.10.2020. But while we were writing, the first news from Hanau came in. We stopped writing. We didn’t feel like celebrating anymore!Continue reading #Wuppertal: Come to the Osterholz forest occupation on February 29th!

Wuppertal. German territory. On August 15, 2019 the Osterholz forest in Vohwinkel, a district of Wuppertal, was occupied. We experienced many wonderful moments in the beautiful forest. And although we know that human ideas cannot be evicted, we unfortunately experience again and again that representatives of the old world try to do this again and again. Like it happened for example last year in the Hambach forest. That didn’t bring anything, because after the eviction many people immediately reoccupied the beautiful forest in the Rhineland. But no matter whether it is in the Hambach Forest, the Osterholz Forest or the Mattole Forest in California, forest squatters should always be prepared for clearing.Continue reading What to do in case of an eviction in the #Osterholz forest? Day X and day X+1
It is now one week ago that some people occupied the Osterholz forest in Wuppertal (German territory). This week we watched the deers galloping through the forest. Watching the frogs moving through Chalk Town in wet weather conditions. We were also allowed to listen to eagle owls when they go hunting in the dark. And there were so many great people visiting us. We had many conversations about ecology, the destructive way of life of the old world and how we can build another world. It was an inspiring week.Continue reading A greeting from the new world
