War diary from Ukraine [Part 3]: Under fire

In May we published part 1 of Riot Turtle‘s Ukraine war diary. Part 2 followed in June. In July and August, Riot Turtle was also in Ukraine. Early October, he traveled to Ukraine for the fifth time since the current 3rd phase of the invasion by the Russian army that started on February 24. This time he traveled to the front line in Kharkiv Oblast. Below we publish part 3 of Riot Turtle’s Ukraine war diary.

“When you drive through the Butcha district, you see destruction everywhere. Especially in residential neighbourhoods.” – On August 16, activists of Cars of Hope will drive to Ukraine again

Wuppertal. Germany.On August 16, activists of Cars of Hope will drive to Ukraine again. It will be their fourth aid delivery in the war-torn country. They will bring necessary goods like Tourniquets, IFAK -First Aid Kits, Burnshield Rescue Kits (für die Versorgung von Brandwunden), face masks for burn care, Israeli Emergency Bandages, medicines and other items that are needed in Ukraine. Cars of Hope will first drive to Kyiv and then to Kharkiv.

“I heard those horrible noises, crashes, screams, and when people started running, I joined them” – An interview with Kristina and Stas from Kharkiv [Ukraine]

Activists of the Cars of Hope (COH) collective talked several times with two street musicians in Lviv, Ukraine. They had met them on the streets of Lviv and became friends. They laughed, drank and talked a lot together. There were also a few tears. An interview.

After the Cars of Hope activists left Lviv, Stas suffered a minor stroke. Stas and Kristina need support for medical treatment. You can find out how to support Stas below the interview.
