Evaluation: Day X, Red Zones, open assemblies [Köpi, Berlin]

Berlin. On Friday the 15th of October was the eviction date for one of the last projects of a list of endangered spaces in Berlin, which gave a home to tens of people, the Køpi-Wagenplatz. This eviction was part of a series of attacks from the so-called „left“ Senate of Berlin against the remains of the squatting wave earlier in the ’80-’90.
As already done during the last evictions of the different projects in the past year, the police wanted to establish a „red zone“ around Køpiplatz to prevent supporters coming from the exterior to get too close to the area as the eviction would be executed. The approximate perimeter and date of the establishment of the „red zone“ got published only a week before the 10/15, through signs in the streets announcing an interdiction to park, which made it a bit more difficult to plan to counter it. Because the idea was, as tried and partially succeeded, in previous attacks of Berlin’s Senate against autonomous spaces, to disturb the installation of the red zone. With this goal in mind, an open assembly was called and a heterogeneous and rather large group of people met regularly in the weeks before, to organise a political strategy and support the fight around Køpiplatz and against the red zone. We are some of the people who were part of this group, some of us didn’t know each other before and we write this text after the first round of evaluation has taken place.

Solidarity with Lina, one year after the cops kidnapped her

On November 5, 2020, Lina was kidnapped by the police and taken into custody on charges of „having formed and being part of a criminal organization“ („Bildung und Mitgliedschaft einer kriminellen Vereinigung“). Her criminalization falls under the legal appeal of §129 of criminal code. A legal section which is part of the anti-insurgent structures of the German state, and which is made known to the public as „Anti-Terrorist“ laws.

Rigaer 94: Support the demo against danger zones on 12.9 | 05:00pm (17:00) Alexanderplatz [Berlin]

Berlin. Rigaer 94. While gentrification plans are growing in a rapid pace, the state’s contribution to the profit of this capitalist society becomes even more visible. Repressive strategies and security architecture planning are applied and developed in our streets and neighborhoods. Strategies and plans which consist of “danger” and “red” zones, special voluntarily police units and regular patrols, all are based on a broader repressive strategy from state and capital who try to overthrow marginalized and specific political groups and communities of people.

Militant pre-evening spontaneous demo against the §129-trial against Antifa Ost in Dresden [Germany]

Dresden. Germany. This evening (07.09.), a powerful and loud spontaneous demonstration moved through Dresden Neustadt to draw attention to tomorrow’s start of the trial against Lina E. and Antifa Ost at the Higher Regional Court (OLG) Dresden. More than 100 protesters took part, who wanted to show that although a few are sitting in the dock, this trial criminalizes necessary anti-fascist work of an entire movement. The charged group of anti-fascists are accused of being members of a terrorist organization according to §129 and of having carried out arson attacks and assaults against neo-Nazis. The defendant Lina E. has been held in pre-trial detention since November 2020, as the investigating authorities have used several cell phones and a small amount of cash in her apartment as evidence of an intention to flee.
