Leipzig. Germany. We look back on a long weekend full of determined struggle against the increasing displacement, against the revaluation and the unbearable cop siege in our neighbourhoods. After two squatted buildings had been evicted within a very short time, the anger about the social grievances in Leipzig came to a climax once again.

#Leipzig, #Germany: #Luwi71 evicted, but the price is getting higher and higher

Leipzig. Germany. On Wednesday September 2, just two days before the Social Struggle Construction Site – Weekend of discussion and action started, cops evicted the Luwi 71 squat. In the days that followed the price of the eviction was getting higher and higher and it ain’t over yet. Tonight there will be another demo.

Leipzig. Germany. August 25. 2020.Today the squatters have spoken with the Office for Housing and Urban Renewal. The boss, Mr. Dr.-Ing. Frank Amey, has direct contact to the owner and announced that the owner has cancelled the scheduled negotiations.

#Leipzig, #Germany: Statement on the May 1st mock occupations

Leipzig. Germany. The occupations on May 1st in Ludwigstraße and in Großzschocher were mock occupations. Due to the Corona crisis, police repression and bans on larger solidarity demonstrations were to be expected. Therefore, the activists decided to choose this symbolic form of action to draw attention to the start of their campaign and to release corresponding forces and energies. One thing is clear: symbolic forms of action will not remain, the goal of the campaign is the actual creation of self-managed, non-commercial spaces through occupation.
