Greece. We have reported so much on the always changing situation out here as it is of concern to anarchists. These reports reflect our priorities as an anarchist collective that waves a purely black flag, and also our own experiences or perspectives on what is happening around us. In the past we overwhelmed ourselves, and likely the reader as well, trying our best to discuss ‘everything’. However we want to use these reports to make more targeted reporting. Athens. Nea Smyrni. It all started at noon on Sunday March 7, 2021 when police officers approached families who had gone out for their Sunday walk in the square of Nea Smyrni, a district in Athens, and started to impose fines, despite the fact that people were wearing masks. When other residents started to protest, the police responded with violence. As residents rushed to help the families, they were treated like enemies.
