In this issue of Sunzi Bingfa you will find have several articles on New Year’s Eve 2020, it is quite obvious that the attempts to stop all public gatherings that night are primarily about counterinsurgency and not about protecting health.
The fear that the pressure in the boiler has become so high after almost a year of worldwide state of emergency that it will discharge with all its power is too deep-seated. In France, the ban on public gatherings after 8 p.m. has now been officially extended to New Year’s Eve. For years, New Year’s Eve has belonged to the youth of the suburbs and working-class neighborhoods; year after year, around 1,000 cars are torched during this night, and the French authorities have not published exact figures for several years for reasons. Just as the recent militant demonstrations against the New Security Law, which among other things prohibits the documentation of police violence, were also a revolt against the permanence of the state of emergency, the frustration and anger will also be unleashed at New Year’s Eve. A translation of a piece by companions from Nantes to break the night curfews, not only on New Year’s Eve. Sunzi BingfaContinue reading Lockdown in France: Let’s blow up the containment vessel

Leipzig. Connewitz. German territory. Anyone who lives in Leipzig and may have been at the cross on New Year’s Eve can actually only have their ears ringing (as long as they are unharmed) and their eyes burning from what happened in the media after New Year’s Eve. So distorted, so unnecessarily exaggerated is that what happened there, that the question arises why it actually happened. To make it clear in short: We welcome the actions of the people on the cross and do not want to play it down or belittle it; but it was, with all success, also not this phantastic “more than before”, which cops, politicians and the media have now turned it into. It was more than happened on the cross in other years and a little less than was possible on other occasions in Leipzig.
But why now this giant theatre? Is it really because comrades tried to murder a cop there? Because the attacked cops were hurt as never before? Because the attack went beyond every foreseeable measure? At least that’s what people should be made to believe and this is not aimed at any kind of criminal prosecution or the like, but rather at preventing the emergence of a left-wing radical movement and to chase its protagonists apart and divide them at an early stage.
Leipzig. German territory. What happened on New Year’s Eve at Connewitzer Kreuz can only be adequately understood in the context of recent months. The year 2019 was marked by increasing aggressiveness and numerous humiliations, bodily injuries, insults and violent assaults by the cops, not only in Connewitz but in the whole of Leipzig. After a violent assault on left-wing youths at the Connewitz police station in 2018 ¹, the year 2019 was marked by numerous attacks on demonstrations by the pigs, people were beaten up, threatened, injured. In Connewitz they even dared for a few weeks to harass the residents with martial foot patrols of small BFE troops, who also harassed and pressured residents massively. After some attacks against the cops in Connewitz ², the police leadership seemed to have understood that the introduction of these foot patrols in the Connewitz neighbourhood met with general rejection.Continue reading #Leipzig: Considerations concerning New Year’s Eve in #Connewitz
