On January 27, 2018 a demonstration against the aggression of the Turkish army was stopped and dissolved by riot cops in Cologne, Germany. Until the cops dissolved the demo it was a peaceful demonstration in solidarity with Rojava, but it wasn’t the first time the cops used the endless list of terms that was imposed to organizers of a registered demonstration, to attack and dissolve a demonstration of anarchists and/or the radical left. This brings up the question; How can we respond to the authoritarian state?

This week there was another NoG20 related raid in Germany. On January 23 about 50 masked cops raided an apartment in Magdeburg, Germany. Today there will be a demonstration against repression in Magdeburg. The United We Stand campaign against NoG20 repression is not only calling for transnational days of action from from January 28th to February 4th, but also started to mobilize for a demonstration in Hamburg. This demo will take place on March 17, 2018, 02:00pm (14:00), Gaensemarkt, Hamburg, Germany.
After the successful resistance against the politics of the G20 this summer, we are calling for days of action in the week from January 28th to February 4th. A small but determined spontaneous demo marched through Neumünster, Germany last night to commemorate Alexis Grigoropoulis and to protest against police violence. There were also actions and demonstrations in other German cities like Wuppertal and Berlin.
This is a call for a raucous night of strong solidarity with those imprisoned by the state on one of the noisiest nights of the year. On New Year’s Eve gather your crew, collective, community, organization, or just yourself and come together to raise a racket and remind those on the inside that they are not alone.
On this day, in 2008, Alexis Grigoropoulos was murdered by cops in Athens, Greece. Alexis was 15 years old. Today we will publish a live blog about todays actions against statet terrorism. We will report live from several demonstrations and actions around the globe, including Athens, but also from the demonstration in Berlin against the repression of NoG20 activists.

December 5, 2017: German cops raided more than 20 buildings in several German states today by order of the special investigation unit “Black Bloc”, which is investgating the clashes during the G20 summit in Hamburg.
