We are Yeldeğirmeni Solidarity from Turkey. We formed this solidarity group after the Gezi park occupation. It’s a neighbourhood Solidarty project in İstanbul/ Kadıköy.
About 2 months ago we occupied one bulding in our neighbourhood. It s a half building and it was empty for the last 20 years like garbage in front of our eyes and our streets. So we decided to occupy the building and make it a public place with a social center. There is a lot of work to do and we didn’t publish about it.
On Wednesday there were searches and arrests in Wuppertal and other cities in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Austria. The federal state prosecuter in Germany targeted in Wuppertal the “Anatolische Föderation”. Those involved are accused of “supporting” respectively “member of a terrorist group in a foreign country” (paragraph 129b). In Germany four people got arrested, 2 from Cologne and 2 from Wuppertal.

Stellungnahme der Revolutionären Anarchistischen Aktion (Devrimci Anarşist Faaliyet, DAF)
11. Juni, 2013
The going on occupation of the Taksim Square and Gezi Park has been attacked by the police this morning. After the meeting of the Council of Ministers yesterday, the police came to the square early in the morning at about 7 oclock, while shooting tear gas, the police made announcements that they are not going to attack to the park.Hundreds of police entered to Taksim Square pleading that there will be no attack to the park and saying that only the banners will be moved away. While the pankarts on AKM are moved away another group of police wanted to move away the tents on the square. The people wanted to stop the police and police attacked to the people with tear gas.
On the 14th day of the Gezi Park protests, resisters are responded once again with riot control vehicles and tear gas!
The only difference between the police raid which happened 10 days ago at 5 am and today’s raid is the timing. Today, the police intervention started at 7 am in Taksim for a change; however, there are already tens of injured people and a police blockage causing public worry.

What follows are preliminary thoughts; things are changing quickly and in unpredictable ways, and while we don’t claim to have anything particularly original to say, we feel it’s important to communicate some thoughts and connect some dots from an anti-racist, anti-fascist perspective, as the exercise might be useful, and to start thinking now about how […]

It is a common tactic of states and capital to invoke the "national interest" and "we're all in it together" as a means of diverting attention from the class war. Such cries were heard often during and after the 2008 financial crisis, when states and capital protected themselves by turning the screws on workers. However, […]
It is obvious that Johnson is shockingly out of his depth. This is not unexpected but he really has failed to rise to the occasion.
