In Greece, the far-right New Democracy party has presided over a year and a half of reactionary efforts to crush the country’s vibrant culture of resistance, targeting immigrants, anarchists, ecologists, students, and rebellious neighborhoods. On October 7, after seven years of popular pressure, the Greek courts were finally compelled to find members of the fascist party Golden Dawn guilty for the murder of Greek musician Pavlos Fyssas. This gesture was supposed to legitimize New Democracy, distancing them from the fascist party whose voting base they stole to enact a more respectable version of the same agenda. On Tuesday the 18th of September, it will be the 5 year anniversary of the murder of Pavlos “ Killah P” Fyssas, a greek rapper, who was killed in his neighborhood, Keratsini, by the neo nazis, members of Golden Dawn.
In several Greek cities there were protests and clashes in the past days to commorate Pavlos Fyssas, who was murdered by Golden Dawn fascists on September 18, 2013.
