The Commission of Relations of the International of Anarchist Federations (CRIFA) expresses its support and internationalist solidarity with the struggles of people in Belarus against Alexander Lukashenko’s dictatorship, a mass movement that is participated in by our anarchist comrades there. The situation in Belarus concerns the autocratic dictatorship that has lasted for 26 years, the current economic, health and public services crises. A wave of protests have filled the squares of the country to request the dictator’s withdrawal. As anarchists, we are not empassioned by the debate on whether the last presidential elections were fair or not. Belarus. On Monday people in Schabinka said goodbye to Gennady Shutov, who was shot by the cops and who died later in the hospital. A public procession was organized where a lot of people from the town participated.
And on Tuesday another protestor, Nikita Krivtsov, who was found hanged in Partisanski district of Minsk on the 22 August was buried. He already disappeared on August 12 during the protest. The officials insist on suicide, which obviously was not the case. Another case were the cops arranged a “suicide” like the director of the military museum wo was found in the river last week. Belarus. August 23. 2020. Today became extremely important for the protests in the country. Despite the bad weather and whining on the Internet, a huge number of people came out in the capital and regions. In Minsk, by various estimates, there were from 100 to 200 thousand people. Belarus. People were calling to support the strikers through out the day through out the country also on Wednesday. But not only the supporters in front of the factories are being pushed away by OMON, also the strikers themselves are under pressure from management and security forces inside the factories.Deutschland
Belarus. Aigust 16. 2020. Today people were calling for the biggest demonstration in history of Belarus. And you can say that this was working quite well. In Minsk 200.000 people went on the streets. In a lot of other cities people were protesting as well in huge numbers and even small villages joined the protests.
