#London: The Battle for #Deptford and Beyond

In Deptford in south east London, local campaigners have occupied a 20-year old community garden to prevent it from being boarded up and razed to the ground by Lewisham Council and the housing association, Peabody. They are also highlighting the absurdity of proposals to demolish 16 structurally sound council flats next door to build new social housing.

#Dublin: Masked thugs evict #squat in Frederick Street

Dublin: Masked Garda threatening people with batons in the aftermath of the violent eviction carried out by thugs in Dublin on September 11. Pepper spray, dogs and batons were deployed, there were 5 or 6 arrests and four housing campaigners required hosptial visits from injuries received in the course of the eviction of the Frederick St occupation [which is the second recent occupation].

#Berlin: #GoogleCampus occupied and evicted again! #FuckOffGoogle

Berlin, September 7: Activists occupied the Umspannwerk in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district earlier today to prevent the planned Google Campus there. After about 2 hours riot cops evicted the building. Here is a statement by the squatters, the statement was released before the cops evicted the building earlier this afternoon. Six people were detained during the eviction.

#Berlin September 29: #Liebig34 must stay!

Berlin: The Liebig34 is a self-organized, anarcha-queer-feminist house project in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The house was occupied in 1990 and later legalized. This contract expires in December 2018 and and we are not being given an extension: the owner, Gijora Padovicz, wants to clear the house, renovate it and rent it out again for maximum profit. Padovicz is known in Berlin for systematically buying up, clearing and destroying houses and residential projects.
